requirements definition and management
Requirements Definition and Management is a systematic approach to identifying, organizing, communicating and managing changing requirements during design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance. According to industry statistics, a major cause of project failure is Requirements Scope Creep. Scope Creep occurs when new requirements are added after the formal requirements phase has been completed, without a process for managing and controlling them.

At VeriSolv we believe that a critical task for all projects is to establish a solid set of baseline requirements and aggressively manage the changes to the baseline. Another key element of requirements management is the ability to define requirements at the correct level of detail, clarity, and testability taking into consideration both technical and business needs.

Our employees have many years of experience in requirements analysis, definition and management. We have built our lessons learned into a VeriSolv methodology to ensure requirements management is performed effectively and efficiently from inception to completion. Our requirements management process is based on industry best practices such as SEI CMMi Level 3 and ISO 9001.

Our Requirements Management process:

·Identifies a consistent set of characteristics and guidelines
for developing concise requirements.

·Provides a process for iterative requirements reviews and
JAD sessions to facilitate effective communication and
common understanding among stakeholders of the system.

·Traces requirements evolution throughout the system
development life cycle phases and into the maintenance
phase.

·Reduces project cost overruns, scope creep and schedule
delays that are attributed to poorly defined and managed
requirements.

·Helps detect requirement errors, which avoids unnecessary
cost associated with implementing the wrong
requirements.

We provide experienced resources to develop, analyze and manage requirements as well as to perform full life cycle application development services.
