The VistA work falls under a task order that was awarded to SAIC by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology, Office of Enterprise Development, which has a one year base period of performance, four one-year options and a total value of more than $56 million if all options are exercised. Under the task order, VeriSolv will provide architect, quality assurance testing, database and technical lead resources performing systems and software development. SAIC will develop repositories for clinical and administrative data for the VHA and provide an access layer to read and write to the repositories.

"The HDS Repositories Program is a key component of the VA's next-generation health care information system that will enable the VA to maintain complete and accessible patient record information on the millions of veterans it serves throughout the VA health care system," said Robert McCord, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager. “The VA is committed to providing quality health care for veterans, and we are extremely proud to be part of that effort,” said René Curbelo, VeriSolv President and CEO.
